Company History
It all began in 1885 when Herman Berkholtz was digging a well near Lowell, WI. He was followed by his son August, who cut the trees to build a true drilling machine that was powered by an “oil pull tractor.” Next was Ed “Berkie” Berkholtz who made the move to a self-contained truck mounted steel drilling machine. His son Dick was the first to successfully use air rotary for drilling water wells. Now Michael uses state of the art equipment and technology, substantially decreasing drilling time with uncompromising quality.
